Wrote about an albums worth of bitter divorce lyrics with a view to some form of cathartic album, the writing process alone was enough therapy maybe, this idea survived to adulthood, THE c u n t bit was a good vehicle to convey some anger/bitterness/resentment.

Written in drop D for final version, based on a Manics B-side called ‘Too Cold Here’ which is one of my faves, also had a lot of grunge swirling in my head at the time ‘Hail Hail’ ‘Rear View Mirror’. and The Twilight Sad who are the perfect accompaniment to a depressed divorcee.

I was deprived of the white goods mentioned in the song, true dat. Left with a George Forman/Toaster and ironing board I think.
